Week 26: pregnancy & social life

Having a social life while being pregnant, it’s kind of a challenge. Especially when you actually have to build one in a new place. There are some stuffs you may not be able to do to socialize. For example, having a beer with friends you just met, well you can’t. Too bad when you live in the city of micro-breweries! Oh I mean, you may still meet your friends in a pub and have a ginger ale but yeah, you know, it’s not exactly the same. And anyway, you’ll often feel too tired for this – ok, full disclosure, I felt asleep watching the movie the last three days… – Also, other example, going away on a weekend becomes more complicated. For me, all drives exceeding 30 minutes are forbidden. As a result, your options to create and build your network are more limited.

That said, pregnancy may just be a preview of what’s coming next… So I’m wandering, am I guessing right? Did you experience some difficult time having a social life while expecting and having kids in early age? Do not hesitate to share your tips, that would help!
